As usual the current annual report of the Institute for Innovation and Technology (iit) offers an overview of last year’s activities. However, there are some alterations: For the first time the annual report is formulated under a special motto. In addition to the indicators and methods, which make innovations measurable, the authors offer profound information and examine the issue from different perspectives.

The Federal Ministry of Education and Research presented demonstrators of research projects  for an independent living at home at the 10th German Senior´s Day in Hamburg. Of great interest were the results of the workshops with senior citizens which were presented for the first time in a brochure. (2012, May 7)

Safe, sustainable and networked – the car of the future

ICT, components and smart systems are essential for a multitude of recent innovations, both inside the vehicle and at its interface to the networks of data and energy. Novel trends and developments with high innovation potential will be discussed at the 16th International Forum on Advanced Microsystems for Automotive Applications.
