ARESA asbl, clinical research cluster
The Walloon Cluster of Clinical Research, ARESA, is a network of companies, academic and private research centers active in Clinical and Pharmaceutical Research. Wallonia has obvious advantages in clinical research: skills and infrastructures which qualities are acknowledged on the international level. The strategy of the cluster is to develop and optimize synergies and complementarities between industrial and scientific actors in clinical research by combining their expertise and fostering partnerships and commercial exchanges. Working in a network allows meeting speed criteria (reactions in accordance with the sector demands), quality criteria and marketing criteria (visibility and attractiveness). Launched in 2003, the cluster is now gathering more than a hundred and ten entities involved in clinical, medical and pharmaceutical research. These entities cover the various steps of clinical research: from preclinical to Phase IV: investigators, CRO, Biostatisticians, laboratories, regulatory, … With a Board of Directors composed of multi-disciplinary high caliber Professionals, University Professors and Doctors recognised as references in the Clinical Research Sector, the cluster of clinical research is the centralized organization where you will find any partner you need to fulfil your study in biotech, pharma, medical devices or nutrition, using Belgium as your bridge to EUROPE.
