Cluster of Multimedia and Information Systems
On August 28, 2006 Nowy Sacz National-Louis University in collaboration with SMEs from "creative industries sector"created Cluster of Multimedia and Information Systems (MultiCluster). As a key unit of Multimedia City project, it proposes an organizational system that combines sectors such as: Technology Park, R&D Centre, Business Incubator, Cluster, Venture Capital. While most companies compete on the market, firms of MultiCluster collaborate and support one another. This partnership works together with other institutions such as research and development centers, universities, and various financial institutions. Connecting this many sources of IT knowledge contributes to the development, which will produce a great outcome. MultiCluster is the main platform which connects business associates, scientists, students and theoreticians. MultiCluster is a "think tank "well of innovative ideas, which results from transfer of knowledge and know how approach. It brings many services and products into the world of business, education and entertainment. The MultiCluster is presently a part of 60 innovative and highly specialized small and mid-sized companies working in the sector of new technology & new media businesses all over Poland. The Cluster is supported by highly specialized and creative workers. The synergy result of cooperation with over 2000 IT-professionals and a variety of specialized firms is bound to be very profitable. Firms that make up the MulitCluster are very diversified not only by region but also by the services they provide. These firms operate mostly on the sector called "creative industries" and entertainment industry. They are: * Animation * Games * E-marketing and Advertisement * Internet and New Media * Film * Telecommunication * Intelligent Solutions * E-learning * IT technologies for business and administration. * Mobile technology MultiCluster's expertise provide network between: TV-studios (video clips, advertising, creating classic and 3D animation including postproduction), producers, providers of mobile solutions, computer software for enterprises, sophisticated internet solutions including intranets and extranets, publishing companies, consulting and e-learning companies, and interactive advertising agencies. MultiCluster joins many international enterprises that construct a huge joint-venture supporting each other in promotion and marketing.
