Corallia Clusters Initiative
The Hellenic Technology Clusters Initiative, implemented by Corallia, facilitates the formation and advancement of innovation clusters in knowledge‐intensive and exports‐oriented technology segments where Greece has the capacity to build a sustainable innovation ecosystem and worldwide competitive advantage. Corallia is an initiative for boosting competitiveness, entrepreneurship and innovation, portraying the mutual vision and best‐practice approach of a public‐private partnership in knowledge‐intensive and exports‐oriented technology segments than can yield world‐class marketable results and competitive advantages. Corallia focuses on the development and support of state‐of‐the‐art industry‐driven innovation clusters, and acts as a hub for all innovation actors, including industry, academia, research bodies, VCs, business angels and other investors. For this purpose, a special framework for the development and support of state‐of‐the‐art industry‐driven clusters has been designed, which enables close collaboration between enterprises and research bodies, and which has set as its strategic objectives to attract quality foreign direct investments, promote new and innovative technologies, diffuse technological expertise, upgrade development processes and establish a strong human network. All of the above, are tailor‐made to the needs of cluster members, and aim at strengthening industrial members’ export figures, R&D activities and generation of a “critical mass” in the local business environment.
