Education and science are the foundation for a society that continues to develop, asks questions, and finds answers. They empower people to shape change, promote creativity, and create new knowledge – the prerequisites for technological, economic, and social innovation.
The Education, Science and Humanities department of VDI/VDE-IT connects research, politics, business, and practice. We work at the interface between education, science, and the world of work and support programmes, studies, and strategies that rethink learning, research, and work in a digital, networked world. Our goal is to support educational institutions, universities, research actors, and companies in making knowledge accessible, strengthening cooperation, and developing new forms of research, learning, and working.
In doing so, we focus on the further development of educational ecosystems in a digital world, scientific career paths, the promotion of future skills and lifelong learning, the design of the science system, and a changing world of work. We analyse how digitalisation and artificial intelligence are transforming learning and working. This creates sustainable links between education, science, and employment systems.
With interdisciplinary expertise, analytical depth, and an open mind to social developments, we work with our partners to shape the framework conditions for a society that learns, researches, and creates – reliably, with foresight, and with enthusiasm for new ideas.
