In the department of Regional Transformation and Economic Development, we support stakeholders from policy, administration, business, and academia in strategically shaping change and steering it towards a sustainable future. We analyse regional development dynamics, identify transformation needs and opportunities, and support processes that foster sustainable structures and value creation.
Our experts draw on a broad range of methods – from regional analyses and stakeholder dialogues to innovation-driven approaches to transformation. This provides a solid basis for decision-making that effectively combines economic development, social participation, and ecological sustainability.
Successfully shaping transformation requires close cooperation among all regional stakeholders – from companies, research institutions, and cluster initiatives to public administrations and other innovation intermediaries. Our goal is to help regions recognise their potential, actively manage transformation processes, and strengthen their long-term resilience, innovative capacity, and sustainability.
In addition, our experts in innovation policy and regional development, based at our Stuttgart office, work on national and international projects with a particular focus on supporting innovation strategy development and establishing cluster structures. This work is carried out in close cooperation with public and private-sector clients.
