The hub for content and strategy

Berlin is the organisational and strategic hub of the VDI/VDE Innovation + Technik GmbH. This is where the largest share of our employees works on socially relevant topics of the future. In interdisciplinary teams, we combine technical expertise with analytical depth and political understanding. Whether it’s innovation funding, technology transfer, digitalisation, or sustainability – this is where concepts, programmes, and decisions are developed that effectively advance research and innovation. Berlin is also home to our central Communication Department, with expertise in science and specialist communication, press and public relations, as well as the Legal Department, the Procurement Office, and the Department for Corporate Strategy.

The headquarters of VDI/VDE-IT are located in Berlin-Charlottenburg at Steinplatz 1. In close proximity to the government district, the campuses of Technische Universität Berlin and Berlin University of the Arts, as well as important research institutions, we benefit from lively impulses from politics, science, and business.

In addition, the company has two further locations in Berlin, both situated close to the main building: one at the adjacent Steinplatz 2 and another at Ernst-Reuter-Platz 8.
