EEA4CCAM develops innovative, in-vehicle electronic control architectures for connected, cooperative and automated mobility (CCAM) applications. The aim is to enable the safe and cyber-resilient implementation of CCAM solutions under a variety of operating conditions. By integrating hardware and software co-design, the project is pursuing a paradigm shift towards a centralised, upgradeable and resource-efficient vehicle architecture with intelligent data flows. EEA4CCAM promotes international cooperation, harmonisation and standardisation, thereby laying the foundation for software-defined vehicles and the widespread introduction of safe and connected CCAM applications.
VDI/VDE-IT is taking the lead on international cooperation and identifying and implementing international research and innovation activities and suitable cooperation mechanisms. In addition, we are establishing links to the software-defined vehicle ecosystem and are responsible for its ongoing maintenance and further development.
